We recommend authentic folk dance or entertaining folk programs between the serving of the courses. The show offers a glimpse into the rich and regionally diverse traditions of Hungarian folk dance and folklore costumes.

Our mission is to introduce the masterpieces of Hungarian culinary art to foreign visitors. The courses are prepared by our Olympic medalist master chef József Révész and his team.

During the selected program, guests are entertained by our first violinist, József Balázs and his four-member gypsy band. The repertoire of the artists who regularly perform with the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble extend from traditional Hungarian folk songs, through chansons and operas, to classical music.

The market hall is not only ‘Great’ in its size, but is also great in other aspects. Most importantly the market is also central, no wonder it is also called the Central Market Hall, for both of its location (5 min walk from the city centre), and the volume of trade taking place here on a daily basis. You can get all sorts of goods on the 3 floors of the Great Market Hall of Budapest: fruits, vegetables, dairy products, fantastic salamis, pickles, fresh fish, Hungarian paprika, Tokaj wines, various souvenirs, bags, clothes, pans and pots, and even home style meals, or Hungarian snacks like Langos at the upper floor food stands and eateries.

In November 1944, the area between Király utca, Kertész utca, Dohány utca and Károly körút was delineated as the Jewish Ghetto, which segregated tens of thousands of Jews, many then sent to concentration camps. Transfer from the hotel to the lovely town of Szentendre

English speaking guided tour at Szentendre

  • With its multicultural history stretching back to ancient times and its present-day ambience thoroughly shaped by refined artistry, Szentendre is a premier destination of Hungary’s countryside – and conveniently, this bucolic riverfront settlement is located less than 20 kilometres from central Budapest. It’s easy to visit Szentendre from the capital city by ferryboat, commuter train, car and even bicycle to enjoy assorted exhibitions, shops, and restaurants that warmly welcome international guests with ample information in English and other languages. However, exploring Szentendre is often most extraordinary during quiet moments of aimlessly navigating labyrinthine alleys lined with flower-speckled ivy, freshly painted pictures, stone-carved monuments, and countless other colourful surprises infused throughout this creative community.

Transfer from Szentendre to the beautiful Danube Bend and the city of Visegrád

Visiting the famous Visegrád Castle from where you can admire fantastic view of the Danube Bend

  • Danube Bend in Hungary is a favorite destination for day trips. Before reaching Budapest the Danube turns through a narrow valley to the south. The scenic location of the Danube Bend (Dunakanyar) also played an important role in Hungary's history. Szentendre, Esztergom and Visegrád on the west bank are among the oldest settlements in Hungary. These historic towns attract many tourists and are often visited together. The east bank has fewer monuments and visitors. Nevertheless, the city of Vác, the botanical gardens of Vácrátót, the charms of Nagymaros and Zebegény, as well as the neighboring Pilis and Börzsöny highlands, offer a lot to do and see.

Lunch (3 course menu without drinks) at Sirály Restaurant including authentic Hungarian „medieval knight tournament” program (from April until October: only on Wednesdays and Saturdays)

  • Now that you have travelled 500 years back in time, the Restaurant proudly invites you to an unforgettable medieval feast! Founded in the last millennium as a family owned establishment, the restaurant shows the most beautiful side of Visegrád.
